How about some back to nature - make bird houses/feeders, butterfly houses, bat houses, squirrel and chipmunk stations, etc. I'm sure you can find great plans on the Internet - but for someone who is talented enough to make cabinet doors - these projects would be a piece of cake - if you want you could paint and decorate them. if you make so many that your yard would look like a nature sanctuary - give them to a nursing home - patients can spend many hours watching the antics of birds etc.
I'm sure if you donate these wonderful projects the nursing home staff would put them up.
Thanks for recycling. And being a friend of nature, besides entertaining the elderly and infirmed.
PS. shavings are good nesting material, also good composting material for garden beds.
References :
if you have children or know someone who does ask if they want the small wood pieces to make a project. My son is always asking the neighbors for some leftover wood. He makes tiny cars, boats, airplanes and ramps for his little cars. I supervise with the cutting tools.
References :
Brand new in my Micheal's store this month are Making Memories cubes, drawers (2) and turntable table top organizers. The cubes and drawers fit together and stack together. All are white and are made of MDF. Prices are good but the cubes only have 2 or 3 compartments. They also have a huge, lovely, white wall shelf. It's a bout 4 inches deep and holds jars and stuff with 2 paper towel like holders for ribbon spools to spin freely on. Looks really nice. That's what I would do but depending on how your paper is organized, you may need lots of cubes to separate colours etc. Good luck!
References :
Place some shavings and some dryer lint into the wells of a paper egg carton (foam won't work). Melt some candle stubs in a double boiler and pour the melted wax into the filled wells-just enough to prevent the lint and shavings from escaping. Let the wax cool and harden.

ta-DAH! you now have 12 campfire starters. Just cut off a starter, put it under a pile of kindling in the fire pit, and light.

DO NOT use these in your inside fireplace, or you may have little rivers of burning melted paraffin running out of the hearth. And that would be bad.
References :
If the wood shavings are thin I would glue them on vases, picture frames etc. I'm not to sure about what you could use the scraps for.
References :
Particle board.

That's what the big boys do.

It can be used in particle or press board or mixed with resin to make decking lumber....

You need to find a large woodworking shop, or saw mill and just take the leftovers there.
References :
firstly lots of shelves for bigger things eg 12 x 12 paper and draws to keep everything smaller in
but keep it all well organinsed
and a desk with a lifted edge so things don't roll of the desk easily
